Sambucus – Zsámbéki Elderberry Festival (June 7-8, 2024)

The Sambucus Festival will be held for the seventh time in Zsámbék’s most beautiful park. The festival, which celebrates the elderflower bloom, will feature free programs and concerts for families on June 7 and 8.

In recent years, the event series has conquered many party towns from Balatonboglár to Siófok, and this year the checkered blanket traveling festival arrives in Tihany between June 14 and 16. It’s no surprise that Tihany, with its lavender fields, abbey and charming little streets, can be seen on many Balaton postcards: you can explore the fairytale town from top to bottom during the event. On Saturday and Sunday, a market, pop-up exhibitions by contemporary artists will await the Balaton Picnic audience on the main stage, and in the evening, bands and DJs, both domestic and world stars, will suit the atmosphere of the place.

On June 15, fans of the variety will gather for the year’s largest Kéknyelű tasting on the southern slopes of the Zeugenberg. A total of 35 local winemakers will personally present and offer the Kéknyelű, one of the best-known Badacsony treasures, to guests. In the wonderful natural surroundings, you can taste, among other things, the drinks entered into the Kéknyelű Wine Competition, and those who buy a ticket to the masterclass will be able to get to know exclusive, aged Kéknyelűs that are no longer commercially available. From early evening until the end of the celebration, the Rézeleje Fanfárosok, the SParKing band and Mátyás Pribojszki and his ensemble will further enhance the atmosphere.
